Sublimation is proven to be one
of the highest quality methods of making custom
transfers with both
quality and durability.
Sublime : to cause to pass directly
from the solid to the vapor state and condense
back to solid form.
Here’s the process…
1. An image is printed onto a sublimation transfer sheet.
2. The transfer is placed on polyester material or a polymer-coated
object.
3. Heat is applied to both objects with a flatbed heat press
The heat changes the solid print on the paper into a gas, which
then prints into
the polymer surface. (the gas actually goes into
the surface coating, then
after
the surface starts to cool, the
gas reverts back to a solid and the image appears)
